Functional Proteomics/ Lipidomics/ Metabolomics and Human Thermogenic Adipocyte Unit
© KD
Mass spectrometry-based proteomics, metabolomics, and lipidomics are powerful analytical platforms that provide novel insights into the physiology of brown and beige adipose tissue. During the second funding period, this central project will continue to coordinate and provide state-of-the-art proteomics, metabolomics, and lipidomics services for the entire consortium, now expanded to include cell-type-selective and untargeted approaches. Complementing these analytical platforms, reliable and standardized adipocyte models remain essential for advancing our understanding of human thermogenic fat. Therefore, S02 will provide standardized protocols and batches of human brown and beige adipocytes to all members of the CRC/TRR, including genetically engineered cell lines and 3D organoid models.
